Terms of Service

For Paid Users: You own full rights to the AI-generated music tracks you create using our platform, including commercial usage rights. Under the UK Copyright, Designs and Patents Act 1988 (Section 9(3)), the person who makes the arrangements necessary for the creation of a computer-generated work is considered the author. As the user directing the AI generation, you are the author of the resulting works.

For Free Users: Free tier generates preview-only content. You may not download, distribute, or commercially use tracks generated under the free tier.

Platform IP: muzeme.io retains all rights to our software, branding, algorithms, user interface designs, and platform technology. You may not reverse engineer, copy, or redistribute our technology.

User-Uploaded Content: When you upload vocals, samples, or reference tracks, you retain ownership of that content. By uploading, you grant muzeme.io a limited, non-exclusive licence to process the content solely for the purpose of providing our services. We do not claim ownership of your uploads.

No Exclusivity: AI-generated outputs are not guaranteed to be unique. Other users may generate similar-sounding content using similar prompts. We do not guarantee exclusivity of any generated material.

muzeme.io generates original audio using AI models. Our platform includes automated safeguards (including artist name sanitisation) to minimise the risk of generating content that resembles existing copyrighted works. However:

• You are solely responsible for ensuring that any content you release commercially does not infringe third-party copyrights, trademarks, or other intellectual property rights
• You must independently verify that generated content is suitable for your intended use before commercial release
• If you upload vocals or samples, you warrant that you have the legal right to use them
• muzeme.io is not liable for any copyright claims, takedowns, or legal actions resulting from your use of generated content

We respect the intellectual property rights of others. If you believe that content on our platform infringes your copyright, you may submit a notice to our designated agent at:

Your notice must include:

• Identification of the copyrighted work you claim is infringed
• Identification of the material on our platform that you claim is infringing
• Your contact information (name, address, email, phone)
• A statement that you have a good faith belief the use is not authorised
• A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information is accurate and you are the rights holder or authorised agent
• Your physical or electronic signature

We will investigate valid complaints and may remove or disable access to the content in question. Repeat infringers will have their accounts terminated.

All music created through muzeme.io is generated using artificial intelligence. By using our service, you acknowledge that:

• Outputs are probabilistic and not guaranteed to meet specific quality, genre accuracy, or commercial standards
• The legal status of AI-generated content varies by jurisdiction and is subject to evolving legislation; you should seek independent legal advice for your territory
• Some jurisdictions may not recognise copyright in AI-generated works; muzeme.io makes no guarantee of copyright protection in any jurisdiction outside the UK
• You are responsible for disclosing AI involvement where required by applicable law or platform terms (e.g., distribution services, streaming platforms)

muzeme.io offers a distribution packaging tool that helps you prepare your mastered tracks for submission to third-party music distributors (e.g., DistroKid, TuneCore, MusicDash). By using this feature, you acknowledge and agree that:

• MuzeMe is NOT a music distributor, record label, or publisher. We do not submit, upload, or deliver tracks to any streaming platform or distributor on your behalf.
• We provide packaging tools only — generating ZIP files containing your audio, metadata, and AI disclosure documents for your convenience.
• You are solely responsible for complying with the terms of service, content policies, and AI disclosure requirements of any distributor or streaming platform you submit to.
• MuzeMe makes no guarantee that any track will be accepted, approved, or remain available on any streaming platform.
• You are solely responsible for any claims, disputes, takedowns, or legal actions arising from content you distribute, including but not limited to copyright claims, AI disclosure violations, or platform policy breaches.
• AI disclosure is mandatory when distributing AI-generated music. You must maintain accurate AI disclosure with every distributor and platform. Failure to disclose may result in track removal, account suspension, or legal liability — none of which is MuzeMe's responsibility.
• Distribution packaging costs 1 credit per export, in addition to the mastering credit required to unlock the feature.

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless muzeme.io from any and all claims, losses, damages, and expenses (including legal fees) arising from your distribution of content generated through our platform.

No Copyright Guarantee: While we believe AI-generated music constitutes original work under UK law, we cannot guarantee that generated content will not inadvertently resemble existing copyrighted works. You are responsible for clearing any potential conflicts before commercial release.

AI Output Quality: AI generation is probabilistic. We do not guarantee specific quality, genre accuracy, or suitability for any particular purpose.

Service Availability: We strive for high uptime but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. Third-party service outages may affect functionality.

"As-Is" Basis: The service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, muzeme.io shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including lost profits, lost revenue, or lost data, arising from your use of the service. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

We may terminate or suspend your account immediately, without prior notice, if you breach these Terms. Upon termination:

• Your right to access the service ceases immediately
• Unused credits are forfeited and non-refundable
• We may delete your account data after 30 days
• Provisions that by their nature should survive termination (including IP, indemnification, limitation of liability, and governing law) will survive

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising under these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

Before initiating formal legal proceedings, you agree to attempt to resolve disputes informally by contacting us at legal@muzeme.io. We will attempt to resolve the dispute within 30 days.
