AI Music Generator for Cubase

Cubase has deep audio-warping tools, but the point of muzeme.io stems is that you never need them. The idea is generated in your genre, rendered to an integer BPM and separated into parts that land on Cubase's bar grid with musical mode switched off.

Short answer: how muzeme.io works with Cubase

muzeme.io is an AI music generator that works with Cubase: it creates genre-specific electronic music ideas and exports separated 48 kHz WAV stems rendered to an integer BPM, so they align to the Cubase project grid with no time-stretching or audio-warp processing.

Importing AI stems into Cubase, step by step

  1. 1Create a Cubase project at the BPM shown on the muzeme.io project, and confirm the sample rate is 48 kHz (or let Cubase convert on import).
  2. 2Drag the stem WAVs from the Media Bay or OS file browser onto the arranger at bar 1 — Cubase creates a track per file.
  3. 3Select the audio events and make sure Musical Mode is OFF in the Pool — the files already match the project tempo.
  4. 4Route each stem to its own group channel (drums, bass, synths, vocals) before adding inserts.
  5. 5On the Pro plan, extract MIDI from any melodic stem if you'd rather replay the part with a VST instrument you own.

Tempo and grid behaviour

  • — Stems are rendered to an integer BPM, so the Cubase grid and the audio agree for the full length of the track.
  • — Leave Musical Mode off: enabling it tells Cubase to stretch the file to a tempo it has guessed, which reintroduces drift.
  • — If you want the idea at a different tempo, re-generate at the new BPM instead of warping the stems.

Common problems and fixes

Stems gradually drift off the grid.

Musical Mode is enabled on the events. Turn it off in the Pool and snap the events back to bar 1.

Imported files play at the wrong pitch.

The project sample rate doesn't match the 48 kHz files and Cubase didn't convert. Let it convert on import, or set the project to 48 kHz.

Frequently asked

Do I need Cubase Pro or will Artist work?

Any Cubase edition imports WAV stems the same way. Group channels and advanced warp features differ by edition but aren't required for the stem workflow.

Can I replace a generated synth part with my own VST?

Yes — on the Pro plan you can extract the part as MIDI, load it on an instrument track with your own VST, and mute the original audio stem as reference.

How many stems can one generation produce?

Up to 12 with the deeper separation tiers, breaking drums into individual elements for detailed remixing.
